E3 2016: Sony Conference

This year, Sony went simple. Didn’t talk too much, showed many video materials and had a live orchestra (with Bear McCreary conducting!). So, forgive us if the text to video proportions aren’t exactly balancde: we just think that Sony’s materials speak for themselves.

God of War

The event began with a live demo show of the latest God of War game.

The game is still in development and we don’t know the release date yet, but doesn’t it look awesome? The Norse mythology setting, the father-son relationship… This is definitely something to look forward to!

Days Gone

And now a post-apo biker game from Bend Studio. First an interesting trailer narrated by Sam Witwer.

And worry not, there was also a live demo (shown at the very end of the conference), quite intense if you ask me.

No release date yet, of course.

The Last Guardian

How long is the game by the creators of the iconic (no pun intended!) Ico and Shadow of the Collossus have been made? Long enough. But here’s another, beautiful trailer…

… and finally, there’s a solid release date: October 25th 2016! Wow!

Horizon: Zero Dawn

Another live demo, with female protagonist (yay!) and robot dinosaurs.

The ideas behind the game’s universe seem to be really original and intriguing, while the gameplay looks really intense.

Detroit: Become Human

Here’s the next interactive movie game by Quantic Dream:

The fast-paced trailer didn’t show many things, but – as in the previous games by Quantic Dreams – we can be sure that the choices made by the player will have a great impact on the story. And that it will be a good story – we can be 100% sure.

Play Station VR

And now a bunch of games for Play Station VR, which is coming out on October 13th, 2016, for the price of: $399. There will be 50 games available for the system from its launch to the end of the year. And among them, the following:

Resident Evil VII

Farpoint

Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission

Batman Arkham VR

Final Fantasy XV

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare + Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered

That’s not the end however, as Sony had a few more surprises up their sleeves.

Skylanders Imaginators

The game will be released in October and will feature Crash Bandicoot, who…

…will come back in Crash BandicootCrash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped remade for Play Station 4!

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

As usual: lots of humour and lots of blocks.

The game will be released in just a week, on June 28th.

Death Stranding

Now, a surprise by Hideo Kojima! He’s currently working on a game featuring naked Norman Reedus and… You know what? Just watch the trailer.

Mr. Kojima, you have my attention.

Spider-man

And the last surprise: a Spider-man game. Quite nice looking one.

You can also watch a short ad for Play Station games…

…and the whole conference.
